The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today that non-import kicker Chris Milo has re-signed with the team. As per club policy financial details of the contract were not released.

Milo (5’11 – 205) will be entering his fourth CFL season after originally being selected by the Riders in the fourth round (30th overall) of the 2011 Canadian Draft. Last season the Montreal native connected on 46 of 52 field goal attempts for an 88.5% success rate. He began the season by making 28 consecutive field goal attempts, tying a Riders franchise record. The Laval product was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Month for August.

In 44 career games the 27-year-old Milo has made 79 of 95 field goal attempts (83.2%) and all 85 convert attempts.

He collected his first Grey Cup championship as a member of the 2013 Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Great!!!

Now just Sheets and we are good.

I don't expect Neumann, Butler or Sanders back here.

Hurl and this years draft can replace Nuemann/Butler.

Clifton Smith and/or Matt Brown can replace Sanders.

Butler was a beast for us last year and will be a huge help to whoever signs him…however, I would much rather have a solid kicker in place when 2, 3 or even 4 games can be on his foot in the final seconds.

Doesn't sound like Butler is coming back, but thanks for everything Craig!

Always happens to a team that wins the G.C.Their Free Agents immediately go up in Value.Butler wants to be here but Taman is stating that we just cant match what other teams will be able to offer… ummm what about Geroy Simon's contract. YES he was valuable last year. However now we have experienced players for the playoffs. Truthfully we do not need a receiver at $170k… That extra $$ can be used to secure Butler and Sheets. If we lose Butler as well as Sheets. Not to mention Dressler already gone. It's going to feel like the Riders front office… Read more »

Newman has signed with Wpg

Butler will not be back, turned down contract offers during the season. Danny Barrett era locker room culture is back in effect – not Butlers scene and winning the cup won’t mask it.

Losing Shologan and eventually Butler makes you wonder where the Riders plan to deploy their non-import starters? Teams that have been the strongest start 1 more Canadian than required to allow for roster flexibilty in case of injury.

4 OL
2 rec
1 DE ?
1 K

The problem is they don’t have depth behind those starters to allow for injury.

At least Butler has signed with an eastern division team and not the Lions. Austin has made a good move locking up Butler, a big improvement in their defense.
