We’re going to open the week with Canada’s greatest game show: The Good, The Great & The Ugly!

First, the good: It was this weekend’s NFL Wild Card Playoff round and the fact yours truly correctly nailed the upset; the NY Giants surprising the Vikings 31-24 in Minnesota.

We also correctly picked the 49ers, Jaguars, Bills and Bengals to advance and now there’s just one game left and it’s tonight – Dallas at Tampa.

Both my heart and my head are going with the Cowboys but I strongly urge you to not follow me for betting advice.

But if you do, sign up for free at BetRegal.net today!

Next, the great: It’s Nathan Rourke making his long-awaited decision; the BC Lions quarterback has signed with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

This drawn out affair has had more pomp and circumstance than any CFL player signing in the NFL that I can ever remember.

And I think that’s great! I’m all about pomp and circumstance. Now Nathan just has to go make the team.

And lastly, the ugly: News leaked out of the Vancouver Canucks front office on the weekend that the struggling team has already reached out to TNT analyst Rick Tocchet to be their next head coach.

Trouble is, they already have a coach in Bruce Boudreau and Tocchet has a 30-day out with the TV network. #awkward

Two things: 1) I watched Vancouver live on Saturday night and they’re a talented team who plays poorly. Been that way for a long time. And it’s easier to fire one coach than 20 players, and 2) Hockey fans are appalled Canucks management would treat Boudreau like this.

I’m not. The Vancouver Canucks put “fun” in “dysfunctional” and more than anything, I just feel sorry for their fans.

Sell the team.
