Today, having a look back at the weekend and looking ahead to what’s going to be a great week!

People are bemoaning the amount of days off in the Stanley Cup Final and I get it, but take into consideration these two teams crisscrossing the continent and the toll it’s taking on their bodies.

As the NHL On TNT’s Ed Olczyk told us last week, “Us broadcasters have to travel too!”

The days off haven’t slowed any of the hype for what’s been the best Stanley Cup Final in at least a decade and finally the Oilers and Panthers meet tonight in Sunrise in Game 3 with the series tied 1-1.

Enjoy!

Week 1 of the CFL season is behind us and we went 4-0 in our picks: the Roughriders, Alouettes, Stampeders and Lions all won.

It’s not supposed to be this easy!

However when you follow the CFL as closely as we do, it’s also not that hard to make the predictions.

The CFL is back and we’re enjoying every single second.

Sunday night when I konked out, I was trying to figure out why I was so tuckered out.

Then it dawned on me that the Moose Jaw Miller Express baseball club had just completed a four-game homestand and wrapped it up with the popular Meet The Millers night with fans and sponsors at the Crushed Can Night Club.

That night has become one of the highlights of my year and has served as a tremendous team-bonding event for the Millers. Having local business leaders there is a bonus.

Couple that with a week of RP Shows and I realized this old boy doesn’t snap back like I used to!

Can’t imagine how I’d feel if I actually worked for a living.

Beyond that, the highlight shows on TV are filled with coverage of golf, tennis and basketball (aka summer sports).

With age comes wisdom.

And I’m glad to finally realize I don’t need to be into it all.
