MONDAY RUNDOWN: ALL STAR RECAP, SUPER BOWL AND MORE!
We were excited to be back in The Rectangle for Episode #933 of The RP Show – Daytime Sports Talk – live from Ballers Rec Room on Game+ TV, WQEE Radio and YouTube Live! Here’s the rundown:
- RP and Moose Dupont got things going with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Kirk Cousins leads the NFC to a title in the NFL Pro Bowl Games, 2) NHL All Star Game wrap – what would you change?, 3) The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Who had the better All Star Weekend – NFL, NHL, Both or Neither? At press time over 70% voted for “Neither”, 4) The NHL’s second half kicks off Monday night with a 6-game slate including the Flames at Rangers, 5) Super Bowl 57 chatter, and 6) The CFL Negotiating Window is now open, and a wrap of NLL Week 10 games.
- Sky Sports NFL analyst Jeff Reinebold joined the show from Radio Row at Super Bowl XLVII in Arizona for a breakdown of the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s motivation to be an Eagles franchise which fired him 10 years ago, and Reinebold said he’ll reserve his Super Bowl pick until later in the week once rosters are finalized!
- There was plenty of CFL discussion in Hour 2 including the Riders reportedly making a big pitch to sign QB Trevor Harris, and re-signing DL Anthony Lanier II. We discussed the landscape across the CFL as Free Agency looms.
- Sirius/XM NFL Radio’s Zig Fracassi joined the show from Manhattan for more Super Bowl talk. After attending so many Super Bowls, Zig’s happy that he stayed home! Zig gave an Eagles/Chiefs preview and answered viewer questions.
- Friday’s Rockstar of the Day was Rich Sutter. Monday’s was Jeff Reinebold!
- If you missed the show you can catch the replay at 10 pm PT/12 am CT on Game+ TV, our YouTube Channel or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.
- See you at 12 pm ET on Tuesday live from Ballers on Game+, YouTube Live and WQEE.
Talk on the street is Harris is coming to the Riders Feb 14. I would fully expect Fajardo to join Maas in Montreal if that is the case.
Mixed feelings on that. Now they have to fix the OL or all will be for naught.
