MONDAY RUNDOWN: PATTERSON AND PETTERSEN!

There were a lot of “P’s” on Monday’s Episode #972 of The RP Show – Daytime Sportstalk – live from Grey Eagle Resort & Casino on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and WQEE Radio! Read on for the rundown:

• RP and Moose Dupont got it all going with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Sunday’s NHL leftovers including crucial wins by the Flames and Jets, 2) The Blue Jays dropped their season-opening series at St. Louis and are at Kansas City Monday night, 3) The March Madness final goes Monday night pitting UConn versus San Diego State, 4) Dub Playoffs, 5) Weekend wrap including Week 18 in the NLL, World Mens Curling and more, and 6) Monday’s NHL slate features three games with the Wild and Stars looking to clinch.
• Stanley Cup champion Colin Patterson (Calgary/1989) joined us at Grey Eagle for an hour long hockey chat. The Rexdale, ON product has been living in Calgary since retiring from the Buffalo Sabres in 1993. He feels the Flames are finally playing their best hockey at the right time of year and also said Toronto’s going to be in tough against Tampa Bay despite having home ice in Round 1. “Patter” answered several viewer questions including the pressures of playing in a Canadian NHL market, the future of Connor Bedard and much, much more.
• Nashville Predators host Kate Pettersen joined the show to discuss the team’s playoff push and her long and winding road to Music City. The daughter of CFL and TSN great Leif Pettersen spent time working with the Argonauts and Oilers before deciding during the pandemic to “go for it”, which led her to the Predators. Kate said the thing she misses most about Canada is Tim Hortons!
• The daily Key Auto Group poll question was: Who will win Round 1 between the Maple Leafs and Lightning? At press time, 59% of respondents voted for Tampa Bay.
• Friday’s Rockstar of the Day was Mark Stephen. Monday’s was Kate Pettersen!
