NEW MOSAIC STADIUM 44% COMPLETE
On the one year anniversary of ground-breaking, construction at new Mosaic Stadium, the first phase of the Regina Revitalization Initiative is approximately 44 per cent complete.
“This is a tremendous source of pride for our community and we are very pleased with the progress the PCL construction team has made over the last year,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “There is a lot of activity in each area of the site and it has been incredible to witness how the stadium has taken shape. In another year’s time, we will be close to having a complete stadium.”
Development of the west side of the stadium will continue over the summer and begin to mirror what has taken place on the east side. A dramatic change in the north end of the stadium will occur over the next number of weeks, as the construction of the Sask Sport and Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club administration area begins. Later this year the structural steel work for the spectator roof will begin in the southeast corner of the multi-purpose facility.
“We are right where we wanted to be a year out from the ground breaking. We continue to receive great feedback from all our sidewalk superintendents and appreciate their enthusiasm for the project,” said Sean Hamelin, District Manager PCL Construction Management Inc.
(City of Regina)
Wow, it's further from downtown than I thought, that sucks big time.
Can't wait!
ZZZZZZZZ
Where's the parking?
All of downtown Regina is a dead deserted parking lot most of the time.
Maybe with the Regina Police enforcing the "Unwanted Guests" law now, we can rid downtown Regina of the intoxicated and aggressive pan handling threats to the general public.
She's a real beauty. Gonna be the jewel of the league!
Gonna be a great stadium in a great location and at a good price. People can park their fat a$$es a couple blocks away from the stadium and walk to games. That's what everyone else in every other city does. People in Saskatchewan have no idea. Bunch of fat whiney lazy hick farmers.
