NEW MOSAIC STADIUM CONSTRUCTION PHOTOS
The good folks at the City of Regina were nice enough to invite us down on Wednesday for an update on the construction of New Mosaic Stadium. To date, the facility is 41% complete and on time for its opening in August of 2016. Here’s an impressive look at the eastside progress..

A view from the upper concourse from the eastside. The Roughriders will enter the field from that blue and black area in the northwest corner. The Rider locker room will be underneath the westside stands. The turf will be 30 feet below ground level…

But there has always been warm water in the Mosaic washroom, although it was mostly bladder produced and mostly recycled beer.

Truly awesome to watch the progress, can't wait to see the finished stadium. I have to say the old stadium atmosphere was pretty awesome but change is good.

Fans from other provinces have been contacting me for pics. A couple of weeks ago, I got as close as I could and took a few shots to send to them. These are way better!

Mixed feelings. I too will like some modern amenities. But i will miss the sea of green when i watch the replays when i get home…. Just a mass of humanity….will not get that in the new place. What happens to the optomist club, etc? Can they still sling beers or with evraz is that now a union job? I will miss looking down and thinking of all the great plays and players i have watched and how every roughrider ever has played on that field.
