NO CFL SEASON DECISION EXPECTED ON FRIDAY

TSN CFL Insider Dave Naylor downplayed any pending news on the CFL season thought to be forthcoming on Friday.

“I do not anticipate anything being announced by the CFL on Friday,” Naylor Tweeted.

There’ve been reports this week that Commissioner Randy Ambrosie had imposed a drop-dead date for the CFL season on, or by July 31. That was the soft deadline imposed for the CFL and its players to agree to terms on a CBA to play in 2020.

With this revelation by Naylor, it leaves the immediate future of the CFL still up in the air.
