PAT CANADIANS 4 CAC GREGG DISTRIBUTORS 2

The Regina Pat Canadians are now 2-0-1 at the Mac’s Midget Tournament in Calgary after Saturday’s 4-2 win over Edmonton’s CAC Gregg Distributors.

The Canadians had a quick start and scored two goals within the first two minutes of the game. CAC responded at 12:29 of the first period with a power play marker by Captain Dylan Stewart.

The Canadians’ Mathew Smishek scored the team`s third goal in the second period. CAC scored its second goal at 4:08 of third to pull the team within one goal.

CAC pulled their goalie at the end of the third and Regina sealed the win with an empty net goal by Taylor Hoedel in the last minute of the game. CAC outshot Regina 38 to 31.
