The Regina Pat Canadians hosted the Battleford Stars in Midget AAA playoff game action on Friday, February 28th, 2016 and skated to a 3 – 2 victory over the Battleford Stars.
This was game one of the Round one playoff series between the Pat Canadians and Battlefords. The next game is in North Battleford on Sunday, February 28th at 2:00pm and then back in Regina on Tuesday, March 2 at 7:30 pm.
Goal scorers for the Pat Canadians were Ty Barnstable with 2 goals and Matthew Chekay scored the winner and added 2 assists.
Curtis Meger stopped 21 of 23 shots directed his way for the victory.
Lance Alm stopped 26 of 29 shots in the loss.
Scoring for the Stars were Jordan Mish and Luke Reid.

False. The game has been protested and it ended in a tie. The game will go to overtime before they play game 3 back in Regina. What a fiasco. Should of never come to this. Picture evidence shows the clock at zero before the puck is even shot.
No indication on website of any changes. Perhaps they have turned it over to the WHL to have a look at it so as to come up with the correct decision.
