The Week That Was
Wednesday, November 6th – Pats 5 @ Lethbridge 2
The Pats started out their stretch of November road games with a bang.  Morgan Klimchuk notched his first WHL hat-trick as part of a four point night, newcomer Jesse Zgraggen scored as did Connor Gay in the Pats 5-2 win over Lethbridge.  The Hurricanes scored both their goals on the powerplay (Reid Duke, Axel Blomqvist) as Pats netminder Dawson MacAuley made 30 saves in the victory.

Saturday, November 9th – Pats 5 @ Seattle 3
Morgan Klimchuk opened the scoring in the first two minutes and added a second in the middle frame to match Alexander Delnov and Branden Troock’s markers for the Thunderbirds for a 2-2 game after two.  In the third, Braden Christoffer and Boston Leier scored for the Pats who put up 27 shots in the final frame in a 5-3 victory over Seattle.  Adam Henry scored the T-Birds’ third goal while Kyle Burroughs scored his first of the year into an empty net.

Sunday, November 10th –  Pats 2 @ Portland 5
The Winterhawks got on the board early and worked out to a 2-0 lead courtesy of Nic Petan and Brendan Leipsic.  The Pats cut into that number when Dryden Hunt scored his first of the season in the second, but Portland would regain the two goal lead off the stick of Taylor Leier.  Kyle Burroughs brought the Pats back within one, but the Hawks goat goals from Chase De Leo and Leier to take the game by a 5-2 final score.  Dawson MacAuley made 53 saves in the loss.

Quote of the Week
“I thought we had a real strong game.  We took pucks to the net, got pucks deep, didn’t turn over a lot, and were very aggressive on the forecheck.  We had a lot of quality chances and our powerplay was clicking last night.  We didn’t finish as many as we wanted but we executed real well and had some real good opportunities.”
– Assistant Coach Bill McGuigan on the Pats’ performance in Seattle
