The Week That Was
It was a quick turnaround for the Pats after a busy weekend for the Blue and White.  The Kootenay Ice were in the Brandt Centre Wednesday as the teams clashed for the first time this season.

The Pats worked out to a 4-2 lead in the third period before the Ice stormed back to tie the game.  Adam Brooks scored his second of the game with 1:52 left to give Regina the 5-4 win.  Jaedon Descheneau had a hat-trick and added an assist in the loss.

Friday night the Pats welcomed the Tri-City Americans to the Brandt Centre.  Jackson Playfair scored in the second period to build a 2-1 lead for the visitors.  The Pats put 30 shots on goaltender Eric Comrie, but could only find the lone goal in a 3-1 loss to finish the week.

The Week Ahead
Friday, October 17th – Pats at Kootenay (7:00 p.m.)
It’s a rematch in the Rockies as the Pats open up a Central Division road swing against Kootenay.  The Pats didn’t win in either of their trips to Cranbrook last season.  All three road games on the weekend can be heard on 620 CKRM starting 25 minutes before puck drop.

Saturday, October 18th – Pats at Lethbridge (7:00 p.m.)
After a 5-2 win over the Hurricanes in the pre-season, the Pats face Lethbridge for the first time in the regular season.  The Blue and White went 3-1-0-0 against the ‘Canes last season.  Morgan Klimchuk led the Pats last year with 11 points in three games against Lethbridge.

Sunday, October 19th – Pats at Calgary (4:00 p.m.)
The road trip comes to a close at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.  The Pats’ third game in three nights comes against the Hitmen who are 4-3-0-1 to open the week.

On The Road
The Pats head out on the first road trip of their season this week.  After playing three road games within their division, the Queen City Kids hold a record of 2-1-0-0 away from the Brandt Centre and have won two straight (Moose Jaw, Prince Albert).  Last season Regina held a 17-17-1-1 record on the road.
