The Week That Was
Wednesday, November 13th – Pats 6 @ Everett 5 OT
The Pats looked to be down and out twice when they trailed 3-1 and 5-3, but came back both times.  The second came when Dmitry Sinitsyn scored with 1:09 remaining on the clock to send the game to overtime.  Sinitsyn then made it a four point night by assisting on Dyson Stevenson’s game winner in overtime.  Dryden Hunt scored twice and added an assist for a three point night.  Maximilian Kammerer scored in the second period to notch his first WHL goal in the 6-5 win.

Friday, November 15th – Pats 3 @ Tri-City 5
Through two periods it looked like the Americans would run away with the game, leading 4-0 over the Pats.  Goals from Marcus Messier, Brian Williams (2) and Philip Tot had the Pats up against the ropes.  In the third period, the offence opened up for the Blue and White.  Adam Brooks, Braden Christoffer and Boston Leier scored to pull the Pats within one late in the third.  The comeback would fall short, though, as the Pats dropped a 5-3 decision to the Americans.

Saturday, November 10th – Pats 3 @ Spokane 2 SO
In their final game of the U.S. Division road swing, the Pats held WHL leading scorer Mitch Holmberg off the board.  With that scoring threat neutralized, Dryden Hunt opened the scoring for Regina in the second before Spokane’s Adam Helewka responded.  The Chiefs took the lead in the third on Mike Aviani’s 20th of the season, but Dyson Stevenson would bring the Pats even again.  Extra time didn’t solve anything, and Boston Leier scored the shootout winner while Dawson MacAuley shut out the Chiefs in the extra shots.

We faced some adversity (due to injuries and suspensions). We were able to overcome it. The leadership group of our hockey team really emerged on this trip. Reagan Named to Team Pacific
Pats rookie Brady Reagan got some good news while in the United States.  The defenceman will be a member of Team Pacific at the World U17 Hockey Challenge in Cape Breton Dec. 29th-Jan. 4th.  The Pats will also be represented on Team West’s coaching staff by Assistant Coach Josh Dixon.

The Week Ahead
Friday, November 22nd – Pats @ Red Deer
The Blue and White turn onto the home-stretch of their eight straight road games when they face off against the Rebels.  In their previous visit to Red Deer, the Pats fell by a 4-1 count.  This week’s road games can be heard on 620 CKRM.

Saturday, November 23rd – Pats @ Medicine Hat
The Pats match up with the Tigers for their second meeting of the season.  In their first dust-up, the Pats came away with a 3-2 overtime victory.  It’s the first time former Tiger Boston Leier plays back in Medicine Hat since coming to Regina.

Subway Super Series
Two Pats will take part in this year’s Subway Super Series as members of Team WHL against Team Russia (Nov. 27th – Red Deer, Nov. 28th – Lethbridge).  Morgan Klimchuk (’95) and Chandler Stephenson (’94) put their talent on display as they look towards earning invites to Hockey Canada’s World Junior Team selection camp.

K9’s Christmas Cheer Snowglobes Coming Soon
This holiday season, join the Regina Pats and Scotiabank to give back to those in need.  Starting Monday, November 25th, special edition “K9 Collector Snowglobes” will be available at all Regina Scotiabank locations with all proceeds going directly to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation.  With a $20 donation to the HRF, you receive a snowglobe and two ticket vouchers to the Dec. 14th game against Kelowna.  A snowglobe will also be donated in your name to children in the hospital or the Salvation Army.
