The Week That Was
It was a wild week for the Pats that saw them head out to Alberta for a quick swing, followed by a pair of home games at the Brandt Centre.
The week started in Calgary where an explosive second from the Hitmen did in the Blue and White in a 5-1 loss at the Saddledome on Tuesday.
The following night saw the Pats jump out to a 2-0 lead against Edmonton before Curtis Lazar took over and drove the Oil Kings to a 5-2 victory.
On Ed Staniowski Bobblehead Night on Friday, the Pats did their best to honour the legendary netminder by shutting out the Prince George Cougars as a part of an 8-0 win. Boston Leier had a hat-trick in the victory. The week finished on Saturday with the Pats sending 41 shots towards Patrik Bartosak in the Red Deer Rebel net, but the reigning CHL Goaltender of the Year stopped them all in a 4-0 Red Deer win.
