REGINA – The Regina Pats snapped a five game slide by posting a 3-1 victory over the rival Saskatoon Blades Tuesday in the Brandt Centre.  Adam Brooks scored the short-handed winner at 11:24 of the second period as part of a three point night.

Sam Steel and Adam Berg had the other goals for Regina while Connor Gay countered for the Blades (13-19-3).  For Brooks, it was his third straight multi-point game giving him 22 points in the month of December.  Regina had a 2-0 lead after the first period in which they outshot the Blades 16-3.

The Pats outshot the Blades 30-20 in the game while going 1/5 on the powerplay and 3/3 killing penalties.  Tyler Brown collected the win in goal.  The attendance was 4,474.

Regina (16-16-5) visits the P.A. Raiders Wednesday at 7:00 pm on 620 CKRM.
