REGINA – Friday night was a great night to be a Pats fan.  A crowd of 6,023 in the Brandt Centre watched Regina dominate the Saskatoon Blades from start to finish in a 4-0 victory which opened a weekend home-and-home series.

Tyler Brown was the hero for the Queen City Kids, stopping all 28 shots he faced from the struggling Blades.

Regina product Riley Woods had a pair of goals for his hometown team, while Austin Wagner and Robbie Holmes also chipped in for Regina (21-21-7).  Wagner’s goal came just 1:40 into the game and it was all the offense Regina would need.

Brock Hamm kicked out 33 shots for the Blades (17-28-4).

NOTES:  The Pats outshot the Blades 38-27 … Regina was 1/5 on the powerplay and 3/3 killing penalties … Regina led 2-0 after the first and second periods … Forward Adam Brooks led the Pats with a +3.

The Pats visit the Blades Saturday at 7:00 pm on 620 CKRM.

Yeh , but our Rush team had close to 9000 at the game sure a lot more than the PATSIES can draw for so called Junior Hockey At It's Best.

Congrats on the Rush win!…hopefully going to make it up for a game this year.

Was great to see Woods finally get a couple…he is such a smart player and has been robbed a few times. Gonna need consistent offence from him down the stretch.

T Brown has found his mojo since coming back and that is exactly what Pats needed. I see good things for the rest of the season…and hopefully no more injuries!!

6,000 is better than the 4,000 fans that show up for Blades games. And were not a big city like Saskatoon.
Nice river though

The Blades are in rebuilding mode, aren't the Pats supposed to be challengers? At least that's the way Rod and Scruffy talk anyway.

Always good to see the pats give the lowly Blades a beat down and send them back to the garbage dump they call home with their tails between their legs!!!

Funny you talk about garbage dumps, the last Rider game we were at, we all joked about the garbage dump we could see in the distance from our seats. Lol.

No excuses…we have a crappy team that no one wants to go see. And on this night, out crappy team beat an even crappier Pats team.
Won't even think of bragging since that was a really bad game by both teams.
