5,259 fans tonight, Saskatoon should take a lesson on how to support their local hockey team.
Really? In a city of about what, 220000? That is pathetic.
You know your team has speed when they have 9 short handed goals in 11 games……
sumthing "special" brewin!
Wowee!!!! 3000 Adults and 2,259 Screaming Kids. That's easy to do.
The pats found a way to win and that's all that can be said. Not ready to play and outshot 16-7 in the first period. Played poorly again in the second but got three shorthanded goals mostly on speed. Zabrovskiy got hurt killing a penalty. It wore Steel and Brooks out so they weren't effective. The Pats got the W but they still got lots of work ahead of them. Maybe they've been reading the press clippings too much. They will need to be better in Medicine Hat.
Paddock has got to get control on their needless "me" penalties.
5200 when the capacity is 5900 isn't bad. Mostly families and the screaming kids were there with their families. Why the stupidity from the trolls?? Trying to score shorthanded goals to win games is playing with fire. The team has to get back to basics and a little more work and a little less dippsy doodling! This is still a team that has to work hard first and control the boards. They need to show more grit and the skill with show through. Poor poor officiating last night once again. The WHL had better look at the product they're sending… Read more »
Another dimension to the Team last night and that's why they haven't lost in regulation.Leading, or near the top, in most WHL Stats BUT "but they still got lots of work ahead of them" – where does that come from ANON?? "Zab.. got hurt killing a penalty" – so you can't get hurt playing hockey??? The only thing I agree with you on is that Pats still take too many penalties but I am sure coaches will work on that. Will be a good test tonight against the Tigers who are 8 & 3 but always play tough against the… Read more »
Regina only has 190,000 people, Saskatoon and area has almost 300,000 and draw 2,500 for Blades games.
The Regina Pats Champs are still undefeated in regulation
What is this dumping on Saskatoon? As a Pats fan we got nothing to brag about attendance. We have a tough time selling 6500 seats. And Saskatoon has had crowds around 10,000 at times albeit on special promotions but still doubt Regina could get that many. And for the Mem Cup they had crowds of 10k or more and yes we sold out all of our games but only with 7000 and I doubt we could have sold much more.
