PATS 4 REBELS 3 SO

RED DEER, Alta. – Boston Leier scored the shootout winner as Regina slipped past the Rebels 4-3 at the Centrium Friday night.

Chandler Stephenson and Dyson Stevenson each had a goal and an assist for the Pats (14-11-0) while Geordie Maguire scored once. The Pats are currently 7th in the WHL’s Eastern Conference.

Red Deer (11-12-0) got goals from Brooks Maxwell, Adam Musil and Dominek Volek.

Dawson MacAuley made 27 saves for the win. Patrik Bartosak turned away 36-of-39 shots in defeat.

The Pats visit Medicine Hat Saturday night at 8:30 pm on 620 CKRM (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 8:05 pm).

One of the big differences I see in this years Team is their resiliency to come back in games when they get down…twice last night they overcame 2 goal deficits to pull out a SO win. Not easy to do in an opponent's arena. Some teams would have folded after out shooting opponent 14-4 in 1st period but down 2 goals going into 2nd frame…not the Pats! Good on them..good luck tonight in the Hat!
