The Regina Pats opened a five-game Central Division road swing with a robust 6-2 triumph over the Tigers in Medicine Hat Tuesday evening at the brand new Canalta Centre.  A four-goal third period powered the Pats to their third consecutive victory.

The Pats led 1-0 after the first period after a Sergey Zbrovskiy’s third goal of the season.  Connor Hobbs’ second of the campaign upped Regina’s lead to 2-1 after 40 minutes.  The Pats’ Austin Wagner, Sam Steel, Adam Brooks and Brady Pouteau scored in the final frame to put the game away.

Sam Steel finished the night with a goal and two assists and was named the game’s #1 star.  Daniel Wapple collected the win in the Regina net making 38 saves while Medicine Hat’s Nick Schneider took the loss with a 33-save outing.

The Tigers outshot the Pats 40-39.  Regina was 3/4 on the powerplay and 4/5 killing penalties.  The attendance was 4098.

Regina (4-3-0) visits the Lethbridge Hurricanes Wednesday evening at 7:00 on 620 CKRM.
