The Regina Pats used a six goal second period to rout the Raiders 8-3 in Prince Albert on Wednesday.  Pavel Padakin led the way by scoring twice and adding a pair of assists.  With the win the Pats got back to the .500 mark (9-9-1).

Regina was outshot 44-40 but led 2-1 and 8-2 by periods.  The other Pats’ goals came from Adam Brooks, Morgan Klimchuk, Connor Gay, Kyle Burroughs, Austin Wagner and James Hilsdendager.

Daniel Wapple made 41 saves in the Regina goal to net the win while the Raiders’ Rylan Parenteau and Nick McBride shared netminding duties.  The Pats were 0/2 on the powerplay and 4/4 killing penalties.  With the loss the Raiders fell to 8-12-0.

Regina returns to action Friday evening when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7:00 on 620 CKRM (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 6:35 pm).  On Saturday night the Pats host the Seattle Thunderbirds.

PA must have got some real bad goaltending. The Pats are not 8-3 better than them.
