PATS, ACCESS AND BIG BROTHERS TEAM UP

The Regina Pats Hockey Club and Access Communications announced today the inception of their new “Seats for Kids” program in support of the Big Brothers of Regina.

Through the “Seats for Kids” program, Regina Pats Season Ticket Holders are encouraged to donate tickets for upcoming games they won’t be able to attend to the Big Brothers of Regina.  Those tickets will then be distributed to Big Brothers of Regina mentorship matches to enjoy a night of Regina Pats Hockey at the Brandt Centre.

“The matches that will receive these donated Regina Pats tickets are members of our Traditional Match Program.  This program revolves around a relationship based approach to mentorship.  Effective relationship based mentoring heavily relies upon positive experiences that the big and little share together. In a nutshell, the more fun that “big” and “little” can have together, the more connected they can and will be,” explained Big Brothers of Regina Executive Director Ash Noureldin.  “It is quite a big deal when we receive support like this from organizations such as the Regina Pats.  Our mandate is always healthy & strong mentoring relationships that can produce positive outcomes.  Support like this, helps sets the stage for precisely this type of outcome.”

Season Ticket Holders can begin donating their tickets immediately at drop-boxes located at the Access Communications Studios/Offices located at 2250 Park St. or in the Pats Office at the West End of the Brandt Centre.  The program starts with a generous donation of 200 tickets by Access Communications.

“Access Communications is a proud partner of the Regina Pats “Seats for Kids” program,” said Jim Deane, CEO of Access Communications. “As a hockey fan, it is a great opportunity to give back and allow kids to experience great local hockey, many for the first time.”

Regina Pats Senior VP and General Manager Chad Lang on the “Seats for Kids” Program, “We’re excited to get the “Seats for Kids” program running.  Big Brothers is an important organization within our community and this program not only offers the Pats and Access a chance to lend support, but extends the opportunity to our Season Ticket Holders to be a part of a great cause.”
