Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is excited to announce the return of Mosaic Goals For Food community initiative for the 2023/2024 season. The club will collaborate with The Mosaic Company on a program designed to enhance food security for our neighbours and community in the Regina area.

At the Pats 2022-23 regular season finale, Mosaic presented a cheque for $36,000 in funding to the four Regina-area charities: Regina Food Bank, REACH, Chile For Children and Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.

“The Regina Pats are very excited to work with Mosaic on this important community-building initiative,” says Queen City Sports & Entertainment Group CEO Gord Pritchard. “Mosaic has a fantastic track record of community involvement in Regina and across all of Saskatchewan and this program is particularly timely.”

The returning program – Goals for Food – will see Mosaic donate $250 for each goal that the Pats score this season. Funds will then be distributed to a collection of food-focused charities operating in the Regina area.

“Giving back to the community is the cornerstone of how we do business,” said Marnel Jones, Director of Government & Public Affairs. “We’re proud to partner with the Regina Pats again this season to support organizations fighting food insecurity in our communities.”

Mosaic will be operating a similar program in Moose Jaw in partnership with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors.

“This program will not only help build stronger communities, but it also gives us added incentive to outscore the Warriors this season!” concludes Pritchard.

The Goals for Food program will continue throughout the 2023-24 WHL season, including the next home game on Wednesday, October 10 against the Calgary Hitmen at 7pm.
