REGINA – The Regina Pats used a four-goal outburst in the third period to pick up a 5-0 win at home over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night at the Brandt Centre.

In the first, the Warriors outshot the Pats 14-7, aided by three powerplays, but Max Paddock stood tall and it was scoreless after one. In the second, the Pats found the first goal of the game at 12:54, Carson Denomie snapped his ninth into the top of the net and Regina took a 1-0 lead to the break. In the final frame, the Pats exploded for four goals to blow it open. Zach Wytinck started it off on a wraparound for his fourth to make it 2-0. Logan Nijhoff made it 3-0 on a pretty goal on a breakaway, his sixth at 4:11. 13 seconds later, Ty Kolle scored his 14th and it was a 4-0 game. The Pats added another on the powerplay from Ryker Evans, his fourth, to make it 5-0 and that was the final score.

The Pats outshot the Warriors 41-30, the powerplay was two for four and the penalty kill six for six. Austin Pratt, Logan Nijhoff, Ryker Evans and Zach Wytinck each had two-point nights, while Max Paddock made 30 saves for his second shutout of the season and fourth of his WHL career.
