MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Regina Pats scored three times in the first six minutes en-route to a 6-2 road victory in Medicine Hat on Tuesday night.
Sam Steel and Dawson Leedahl both had three point nights in the win.
The Pats scored three times in the first and three in the second and kept the Tigers offense at bay to improve to 26-3-6-1.
Tyler Brown stopped 36 of 38 shots for his 18th win of the season.
Uncharacteristically, the Pats were outshot 38-33 while going 2/2 on the powerplay and 5/6 killing penalties.
With the victory, the Pats extend their lead atop the Eastern Conference to four points over Medicine Hat with four games in hand.
The attendance at the Canalta Centre was 3329.

Big win!! Nice work boys, making it look easy! David Quenneville might be a huge loss for Medicine Hat after blocking a shot with his leg and not being able to put any weight on it.
The Tigers used to sell-out every game in their old rink. Then the city built the new facility in the world's worst location with horrible access and the attendance is way down.
Yea I noticed a lot of empty seats (down low anyways) but said attendance was 3329 so not bad I guess. Tigers announcers were quite impressed with the way the Pats handled their Tigers as they said that the Tigers have played pretty well this year. It may have just been a bad game for Tigers so not counting them out yet.On the other hand the Pats seemed to be possessed in the 1st 10 minutes with constant forecheck and more speed then ever. Hollett has a broken foot
I heard he had a high ankle sprain. Have seen him at the last couple of Pats games. No cast on and wasn't favouoring either foot when walking so perhaps just a long recovery from whatever it was.
Wish the Pats Org. would provide some type of update :((
