PATS FALL 4-2 IN BRANDON IN PRESEASON PLAY

The Regina Pats lost 4-2 in Brandon to the Wheat Kings in pre-season action on Friday night.

The Pats trailed 3-1 after the opening frame with Jeff de Wit scoring the Regina goal, his fourth of the pre-season.

de Wit added another in the second period and it was 3-2 heading to the third.

However in the final frame, Brandon scored with the man advantage to deny the Pats a comeback and took the contest 4-2.

Special teams played a big factor in the game with Brandon going three for five on the powerplay and the Pats two for seven. Tyler Brown and Kurtis Chapman combined to make 26 saves in the Regina goal while Ethan Kruger stopped 28 pucks for the Wheat Kings.
