PATS HOST BREAST CANCER AWARENESS GAME ON SUNDAY

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they will be hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Sunday against the Swift Current Broncos at the Brandt Centre.

This is the 12th straight year the Pats will partner with the Canadian Cancer Society to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“As an organization, this game is one we really look forward to,” said Pats COO Stacey Cattell. “Cancer touches so many lives and being able to raise some money and awareness about this disease is important for the Regina Pats.”

Goaltender Max Paddock has been wearing a pink Breast Cancer helmet for the duration of October and the mask will be raffled at the game on Sunday with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. In addition, Pats skaters will be wearing special edition pink helmets for Sunday’s contest, which are now available via online auction (www.reginapats.com/pinkauction)

The Pats will also be selling pink breast cancer toques for $40 each at the Pats Store during the game; again, with proceeds going to the Cancer Society.

The hockey club has raised more than $100,000 in the first 11 years of Breast Cancer Awareness nights. To purchase tickets to the game, visit reginapats.com or the Brandt Centre Box Office.

The Pats are back in action on Friday at home to the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. Tickets are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office and at any Regina Safeway where Fun Zone Tickets are $13 plus tax.
