PATS INTRASQUAD: WHITE 6 BLUE 3

Forty players including veterans and rookies took to the ice in the annual Regina Pats Blue and White game Monday night at the Cooperators Arena to wrap up the opening weekend of training camp.

In the first period, import draft pick Filip Ahl opened the scoring for Team Blue at the 11:15 mark.

Riley Woods would score his first of three on the night for Team White to draw the contest even.

In the second frame, Team White got two goals from Jake Leschyshyn and another from Woods.  Blue would add two, one from Nick Henry and the other from Carson Welke.  It was 4-3 White heading into the final frame.

In the third, White sealed the victory adding two more goals thanks to Robbie Holmes and Riley Woods, again, who would record the hat trick.  The final ended up 6-3 for White.

What’s Next?
The Regina Pats will host a pre-season tournament starting Thursday at the Cooperators Arena.  Taking part are the Swift Current Broncos, Saskatoon Blades and Moose Jaw Warriors.  Tickets are $5 per game or $15 for the weekend.  Games take place at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday – Saturday.

Riley Woods is destined for big things this year! Gives excellent scoring depth and ability to the Pats.

Leschynyn may get as many points as Steel this year. Definitely more goals-

And thats no slight to Sam!!!!!
