PATS INTRODUCE NEW LOGO

Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce an update to its familiar logo.

The clean new face of the franchise stays true to the Pats tradition, honouring the long, rich heritage of junior hockey in the Queen City.

“With all of the energy and investment being poured into the Pats brand, it was clear our identity deserved a minor re-work to improve its impact, design quality and legibility across a broad range of applications,” says Regina Pats President Todd Lumbard.

The updated logo respects the immense value of the existing brand and repackages all of the elements Pats fans know and love in an energetic new visual.

This upgrade is just one of many still to come for a resurgent new Pats brand and signals a heightened level of pride, professionalism and a relentless commitment to winning working its way into every corner of the organization, sparked by the new ownership group.

“This is not about a quick fix; we are making changes we believe will create long-term stability and success for this franchise and deliver outstanding value for our fans.  We’re in this for the long haul,” comments Regina Pats Governor Anthony Marquart.

The updated design will begin to appear immediately in promotional items, advertising, signage, etc., with ongoing upgrades throughout the upcoming season and will culminate in all-new uniforms, set to appear at the start of the 2015 season.

A nice clean "evolution" of the logo and one that supports the new direction of the team with out throwing out the heritage and history. Subtle but Well done.

It's a nice clean tweak to the logo. It's kind of like the Leafs or Habs' logo, it's too rich in tradition to overhaul.

A minor update, but I hope the upcoming uniform change more-or-less retains the current blue jerseys and adds a good red one.

I love the new logo tweak. The traditional aesthetic is kept, yet upgraded to look a little classier in my eyes. It is kinda going back closer to the original from 1970-2009, but cleaner. Anyone who says it is the same has no eye for detail. I wasn't the biggest fan of the logo change they made in 2009. I preferred the older one. This new one is what should have been presented in 2009.

Bob you know everything about the Pats but yet never report anything first lmao

Bob looks into his magic crystal ball and sees that on Saturday Night the team will in fact be wearing Regina Pats jersey's

On the flip side there may be very little change to the logo but it is a sharper cleaner look forsure. The Pats have too rich of history to go and change the logo completely as it was stated above its like the Leafs or Habs but yet throw in any other original 6 team

The only thing that matters with this logo is if we can actually finally put it on a championship banner like we did in 1980 for the league and in 1974 for a memorial cup.

By the way, I like the new look. Cleaner and crisp as mentioned before but traditional which is important. Like the Riders with the Circle S helmets, and the green and white unis.
