PATS’ JAKOB BROOK NAMED EAST CONFERENCE TOP SCHOLASTIC PLAYER
The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that forward Jakob Brook has been named the WHL Eastern Conference Scholastic Player of the Year and finalist for the Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Memorial Trophy as WHL Scholastic Player of the Year for a second consecutive season.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, he successfully completed ELA 30, Physics 30, Pre-Calculus 30, Physical Education 30, and Life Transitions 30 in Semester 1. Currently he is completing Biology 30 and History 30, online through Manitoba Distance Learning. Earning a remarkable overall Grade Point Average of 95.2%.
The product of Roblin, MB was named the Pats Scholastic Player of the Year in their team awards in March and won the Eastern Conference Scholastic Player of the Year Award last year.
Brook was acquired in January from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for goaltender Max Paddock. He played in 46 games this season, scoring four goals and six assists for 10 points.
The winner of the Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Memorial Trophy as WHL Scholastic Player of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, May 13.
