PATS SHIP KOLLE TO EVERETT
The Regina Pats Hockey Club has announced they have traded 19-year-old forward Ty Kolle to the Everett Silvertips. In exchange, the Pats receive 16-year-old prospect forward Ean Somoza, a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a fifth-round pick in 2021.
Somoza (5’10, 139), from Thousand Oaks, California was drafted in the 13th round of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft by the Silvertips. He is currently playing with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings U16 where he has 14 goals and 29 points in 16 games.
“We are happy to add Ean to our prospect group,” said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock. “The two draft picks in 2020 and 2021 are also important for our organization moving forward.”
Kolle, from Kamloops, B.C. was acquired by the Pats in November of 2018 from the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He put up 23 goals and 16 assists for 39 points in 78 games with the organization.
“We wish Ty all the best in Everett,” added Paddock. “He is an offensive player who will help the Silvertips down the stretch.”
The Pats are in action tonight at home to the Swift Current Broncos at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. Tickets are available at reginapats.com, the Brandt Centre Box Office or at any Regina Safeway where Fun Zone vouchers are $13 plus tax.

They need to trade Pratt.
Very weak return. This guy will be a 25-30 goal man this year especially in Everett. Next year they have a top 3 OA forward and could easily get that return back if they chose. We get weak 4th and 5th picks with only one pick next draft. A small 16 year old kid from the States and we all know they rarely report here. He’s not playing Sask Midget AAA down in LA.
