VIGR RECAP: PATS SWEEP HITMEN

CALGARY – The Regina Pats completed a four game sweep of the Calgary Hitmen on Thursday night with a 5-1 win in Game 4 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The two clubs skated to a scoreless first period but in the second the Pats got two goals from Austin Wagner and one from Dawson Davidson to lead 3-0 after two.

In the third, Calgary found the scoresheet but Regina got goals late from Connor Hobbs and Jeff de Wit to take the series with a 5-1 win.

Tyler Brown made 20 saves on 21 shots.

The Pats powerplay was 4/6 and the penalty kill 2/3.

Regina will await their second round opponent, the Swift Current Broncos or the Moose Jaw Warriors.
