Moose Jaw, Sask. — The Regina Pats got a marvellous 42-save performance from Matthew Kieper in their 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night at Mosaic Place.

The Pats improve to 7-10-0 on the season and break their three-game slide, while the Warriors fall to 7-10-1.

Tanner Howe increased his point streak to seven games in the win, scoring the game-winning-goal on a power play and adding a primary assist. Logan Nijhoff, Borya Valis and Cole Carrier (empty net) also scored. Stanislav Svozil recorded another pair of assists and now has 11 points on the season.

This was the first game behind the bench for John Paddock since the 2018 Memorial Cup.

The Pats next game is on Tuesday, Nov. 23 against the Medicine Hat Tigers, the first on a four-game road trip through Alberta.

If anyone listens to Spittin’ Chicklets, John Paddock has been mentioned a couple times and all good things. Nick Kypreos stated in Hershey that John genuinely cared about players versus using them as a stepping stone. Last week former Warriors Head Coach Mike Strothers stated the same thing as he played in Hershey too. Way different eras than today but getting the same results.
