OVERVIEW
The Regina Thunder (2-0) hit the road for the first time in 2015 Sunday to take on the Edmonton Huskies (0-2). The Thunder are coming off a dominating 63-14 win in week 2 over the Edmonton Wildcats. The 63 points scored were the most in the Thunder’s franchise history. Meanwhile the Huskies were dominated at home by the Calgary Colts 59-10.

THUNDER NOTES:
The Regina Thunder have scored an incredible 112 points in their first two games of the season which leads the PFC by a 21 point margin. The club has rushed for 580 yards and thrown for 463 for a total of 1043 yards in total offense. The club has turned the ball over just once in those two games and has allowed two sacks.

Quarterback Jaeden Marwick is 19 of 32 passing for 254 yards. He leads the PFC in touchdown passes with 5 and has thrown just one interception. Marwick has only played about a full game in actual time on the field in the first two games. Sawyer Beuttner has come in in relief in both contests and gone 14 for 27 for 209 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Thunder defense has given up 46 points in their first two games, only Saskatoon and Calgary have given up less. Opposing offenses have put up 252 yards rushing and 356 through the air. The club has forced 6 turnovers, 3 interceptions, 1 fumble and 2 turnovers on downs. The defense has one sack in two games.

Linebacker Jarrett Seck leads the club with 7 tackles, that’s tied for 4th in the PFC. He also has a forced fumble. Defensive back Steve McAlpine is next with 6 tackles, he also has 2 assisted tackles and a blocked kick.

HUSKIES NOTES:
The Edmonton Huskies have scored 43 points in their first two games, only the Winnipeg Rifles have scored less with 41. The team has rushed for 323 yards and thrown for 214 for 537 yards in total offense. They have given up three sacks, however the Huskies are the lone team that has yet to turn the ball over in 2015.

Quarterback Brad Launhardt is 7th in league passing with 131 yards on 9 of 18 completions. He has thrown no touchdowns and no interceptions. Former Regina Thunder QB Kieran Pruden is 7 of 14 passing for 83 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Huskies defense has allowed 94 points in two games. That is 3rd worst in the PFC. Offenses in two games have put up 235 yards rushing and 204 through the air. They have one interception and have not recorded a sack.

Linebacker Stephan Paleniuk, defensive back Brandon Mellen and DB Micheal Getzinger are tied for the team lead with 4 tackles. Mellen has the team’s lone interception.
