PFC SEMIFINAL: COLTS 17 THUNDER 3

REGINA — The Regina Thunder saw their season come to an end Sunday afternoon with a 17-3 playoff loss to the Calgary Colts at Mosaic Stadium. The Thunder turned the ball over 9 times in the PFC Semifinal.

Regina quarterback Jaeden Marwick was forced to leave the game after taking a head shot and gave way to backup Sawyer Beuttner.

The Thunder led 2-0 after the opening quarter after the Colts gave up a safety. In the second, Calgary took the lead on a Kyle Brick touchdown catch and it was 7-2 going into the break.

In the third the Thunder got a punt single from Kris Calcutt and trailed 7-3 but the Colts scored a late third quarter touchdown when Dylan Minshull punched one in along the ground and it was 14-3 going into the fourth quarter.

The Colts added a field goal in the final frame and took the game 17-3. Calgary moves on to the PFC Championship in Saskatoon against the Hilltops next Sunday.

Too bad, was looking forward to the Hilltops laying another beating on the Thunder, oh well, next year I guess.
