In the second half of the home and home Pankewich Neumann Memorial Classic, home ice seemed to be the advantage as the rematch occurred at the Al Ritchie Arena in Regina on Sunday. The Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals held a 3-1 lead on goals from Braydon Delorme, Cody Braddock and Emery Anderson with 1:37 remaining in the second period.

Capitals’ Sam Resling received 13 minutes in penalties at this point in the second period, which gave the Traveland RV Storm a 7 minute power play. Over the course of the power play the Storm scored 2 goals to tie the game. Riley Cannon scored the Storm’s go ahead goal short handed with 4:27 left in the third period.

Capitals starting goalie Thomas Spence faced 46 shots in the 4-3 loss in front of a packed house at the Al Ritchie. Final fundraising numbers for the Pankewich Neumann Memorial Classic are still being tallied but the Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals would like to thank everyone for their support.

Capitals are back in action Tuesday February 10 at 7:30pm against Fort Knox
