PLEASE HELP OUT THE THUNDER!

On the SportsCage on Monday we mounted a campaign for local businesses to help out the Regina Thunder in their quest for their first-ever PFC championship.

Due to a scheduling snafu at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon, Sunday’s PFC championship game between the Thunder and Hilltops has been moved to noon meaning the Thunder would have to leave Regina at 5:00 am on game day.

Some local businesses, and businessmen, have stepped up and said they’d sponsor hotel rooms for the Thunder in order to help them in their quest.  So far Carm Carteri, Morsky Group, Schultz Gareau Insurance, Great Western Brewing Co. and Jim Blevins have all stepped forward and said they’d pay for rooms.

Would you do the same?  If so please email team President Brin Werrett at reginathunderfootball@gmail.com before Wednesday.  Let’s help the Thunder bring home the title!

Then they would have to give 10,000$ to the Hilltops as well.

Why would they have to give the Hilltops $10,000 too?

If it wasn’t for the douche-baggery of Saskatoon, they wouldn’t have needed the 10 grand in the first place.

How about why would they have to leave at 5 am? Doesn't even make sense…

Don't blame the Hilltops. So if Regina was off to play Calgary they wouldn't go the day before but rather at 3:00 AM?

Guess the Thunder didn't budget that they were going to make the playoffs this year.

Typical Saskatoon douchebag move. I hope the Thunder destroy them.

So, the Thunder aren't attending the PFC awards banquet on Saturday?! And, if they leave Regina at 5 Sunday morning, which they shouldn't if they are going to the banquet, they'd be at Griffiths Stadium around 8 a.m….about two hours earlier than they need to! C'mon man!!

Being there for 8 AM ensures time for a healthy team breakfast. Your last meal should be 3 or more hours prior to competition. Leaving at 7, as you seem to suggest, would mean eating in the bus. Leaving the next 2 hours for that food to rot in your stomach because it’s not being efficiently absorbed into your system while your perched on your ass in the bus. Eating between 8 and 9 in Sackatoon gives an hour to walk around and go through their personal pre-game rituals, then go through depth charts, players to be taped for the… Read more »
