PRESEASON: RAIDERS 3 PATS 2 SO
Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats got a goal and an assist from both Jeff de Wit and Koby Morrisseau but fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night at the Brandt Centre.
Prince Albert scored once in the first and then made it 2-0 at the midway point of the second. de Wit then cut into the lead with a powerplay goal, his seventh of the pre-season, and it was 2-1 after 40 minutes.
In the third, Koby Morrisseau tied it with his second which forced overtime and then a shootout. It took until the eighth round for a game winner, Devon Skoleski scored and the Raiders won 3-2.
The Pats outshot Prince Albert 35-25 in the defeat, the powerplay was one for four and the penalty kill five for five. What’s Next?The Pats will conclude the pre-season Saturday night in Prince Albert against the Raiders at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM. The club will open the 2017-18 season on Friday, September 22, in Brandon and then host their home opener on Saturday against the Wheat Kings at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre.
