PRESEASON: RAIDERS 5 PATS 2

REGINA — The Prince Albert Raiders scored three unanswered goals in the third period to skate off with 5-2 victory in the lone WHL preseason game of the night on Wednesday.

In the Pats’ first game in the Brandt Centre this season, the contest was scoreless after the opening period.  The teams traded goals in the second frame as Rykr Cole and Gary Haden lit the lamp for the Pats while Dylan Williamson and Tim Vanstone found the net for the Raiders.

The floodgates opened in the third for the Raiders as Reid Gardiner scored the eventual game-winner at 10:53.  Jordan Tkatch made it 4-2 while Austin Glover capped the scoring into an empty-net.

Veteran Pats goalie Daniel Wapple took the loss making 24 saves while Rylan Parenteau got the win for P.A. with 27 stops.

Regina was 0/7 on the powerplay and 1/3 killing penalties.  The attendance was not announced.

The Pats conclude the 2015 WHL preseason Friday night at PA in a 7:00 faceoff.

"the attendance wasn't announced" take a look at the picture and count, hence why it wasn't announced.

They better get the marketing guys on board to put some asses in the seats.

There were asses in the seats last year. Then they doubled ticket prices and dropped student/senior pricing altogether. "But we have payment plans!" doesn't cut it when you're on a fixed income.

This picture doesn't surprise me at all.
