PRESEASON: WARRIORS 4 PATS 1
REGINA – The Regina Pats dropped a 4-1 pre-season decision to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night at the Brandt Centre.
Regina trailed 2-1 after the first, 3-1 after the second and Moose Jaw added one in the third in the victory.
Jonathan Smart provided the lone marker for the Pats, it came on the powerplay at the 18:23 mark of the first period. Emil Oksanen and Sam Steel who made their pre-season debuts picked up assists.
Kurtis Chapman went the distance in the Regina goal, making 35 saves. Moose Jaw outshot Regina 39-18, the Pats powerplay was one for three and the penalty kill four for five.
What’s Next?
The Pats continue the pre-season on Friday, September 8th in Brandon against the Wheat Kings. Regina will host Brandon at the Brandt Centre on Saturday the 9th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.
