EDMONTON – The Regina Pats battled back from a 2-0 deficit in the second period to win their 11th straight game, 4-2 in Edmonton over the Oil Kings on Wednesday night at Rogers Place.
Davis Murray and Lane Bauer scored for Edmonton to take the lead.
Sam Steel responded late in the second on the powerplay with his team leading 17th to get the Pats within one heading to the third.
In the final frame, Connor Hobbs tied it, Chase Harrison scored the game winner and Nick Henry sealed it with an empty netter.
Jordan Hollett made 15 saves to win his 6th game in his 7th start of the year.
The Pats outshot Edmonton 43-17 in the victory.
Steel led the offence with a goal and two assists and is up to 37 points on the year.

– Adam Brooks extended his point streak to 12 games with a second period assist. (7G, 19A).
– Sam Steel scored his 17th goal of the year and tied the WHL’s longest goal streak of the season (6 games).
– The Pats have tied a franchise record with 18 games to start a season without a regulation loss.

Okay ,that was an incredible 3rd period comeback win for the Pats against the WHL goalie of the week in Edmonton.

Shots on goal 43 – 17 I'm surprised by the score. The games score makes it sound much closer than one would think. I guess the Pats really poured it on for a period. I could only imagine what this team will be like if they play all 3 periods like the 3rd. I'm not a real junior hockey person but the 2016 -17 Pats continue to make people sit up and take notice.
