RAIDERS 4 PATS 3 (OT)

Prince Albert, SK – Reid Gardiner scored on the first shot of overtime, 11 seconds in, to clinch a 4-3 come from behind win for the Prince Albert Raiders over the Regina Pats on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

Trailing by two with five minutes left in the second period, 16-year-old rookie Parker Kelly leveled a huge hit in the neutral zone that turned the game around for the Raiders. After the hit, Kelly and fellow rookie Dylan Williamson dropped the gloves with a pair of Regina veterans.

The Pats received a pair of instigator penalties where the Raiders scored a power play goal. Prince Albert ended the second period with a tally in the final minute to even the score going into the third period. After no one found the back of the net in the third, Gardiner’s overtime goal made a winner of the Raiders.
