RAIDERS 6 PATS 5

REGINA (CP) – Kris Schmidli scored two of Prince Albert’s four first-period goals to beat the Pats 6-5 in a wild game Saturday night in the Brandt Centre.

Austin Glover and Tim Vanstone also scored in the first for the Raiders (19-23-1). Craig Leverton and Jayden Hart rounded out the attack for the club’s third-straight win.

Taylor Cooper countered with a hat trick for Regina (22-15-5). Colby Williams and Adam Brooks also had goals.

The Raiders built up a 6-3 lead courtesy shaky goaltending from Pats targets Tyler Brown and Tyler Fuhr but a pair of late Pats goals in the final four minutes got Regina within one.  However they were unable to find the equalizer.

Regina outshot P.A. 39-26 while going 2/8 on the powerplay and 4/5 killing penalties.  The attendance was 4210.

The Pats now head out on a four-game western road trip.
