MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Tim Vanstone and Reid Gardiner each scored twice as the Prince Albert Raiders took Game 3 of their Western Hockey League first-round playoff series, beating the Moose Jaw Warriors 7-3 on Monday.

Jesse Lees, Kolten Olynek and Luke Coleman all had a goal and an assist for the Raiders, who trail the best-of-seven series 2-1 after dropping the first two games at home.

Home ice in hockey is irrelevant nowadays. Teams are too prepared, they travel better, and the biggest factor of all rinks are too cozy. There are zero hostile environments in major junior hockey anymore and teams themselves rarely play with any hostility.

Live in Regina so watched the game on Shaw. The game was alright but you should feel ashamed Moose Jaw. The place looked empty. You are up two games to none and can't sell out your barn. Especially on a week where the kids are out of school so don't use the excuse of the game ending to late for the little warriors. I am a pats fan; but also a hockey fan in general. I think you have a great team so why not spend some money to support your team. Good luck in game 4 and for the… Read more »

Hey Pats Fans- I am not quick to hold judgement on the number of empty seats in MJ last night. I hear there are many seats still available for the next two nights in Regina. Lets sell out our own barn for two night first before we jump against MJ. I want MJ to do well, it would nice to see Hunt make a run in his last year. If Brandon loses to Edmonton, MJ could actually make a nice little run even though they lack some depth. Lets match the energy that was in Lethbridge last weekend. I agree… Read more »

So has he just been coasting for the first 72 games? Why are they a 500 hockey team?

Take a look at the Pats roster for date of birth and league experience. Paddock has consistently for two seasons got more out of less than any other coach in the league.

This team will be scary good if they continue to develop at the rate they have and continue to buy-in to the philosophies of Paddock and his staff.

Looking forward to a capacity crowd tonight at the Brandt Centre from the best fans in the East Division (both statistically and by fan support)

I like Paddock but IMO Brent Sutter is the best coach in the league. I mean head coach of NJ and the Flames, World Juniors and Mem cup Champion. Just my opinion.

Princess Point likes to turn his back to checkers when he is a long the boards hoping for a cheap penalty. Somebody is going to staple his arse to the boards permanently if that keeps up.
