“The Prince Albert Raider Hockey Club is pleased to have Marc signed with the organization long-term”, said General Manager Bruno Campese. “Marc connected very well with our players, fan base and corporate sponsors since joining us in November, and understands our community very well. We are happy with the long term of the deal as it establishes stability in our Head Coaching position through the next four seasons.”
“I very much enjoyed my first 5 months in Prince Albert”, said Habscheid. “The community and organization was very welcoming. I am very pleased to continue that relationship over the next 4 years.”
The Raiders have also picked up the option years’ on the contracts of Director of Player Personnel Dale Derkatch and Athletic Therapist Duane Bartley through the 2015-16. Both were entering the club option year of their contracts that the Raiders have exercised.
Derkatch joined the Raiders in 2009 as Director of Player Personnel.
Bartley is the longest serving hockey staff member of the Raiders entering his 15th season as Athletic Therapist. This past season Bartley was honoured for his 1,000th game in the WHL.
Great signing for a franchise that has been struggling. Still playoff fever for some Raider fans as Draisaitl, Morrissey, Quinney, and Braid are making a huge impact with the Rockets. At least some of us have something to cheer for…go Rockets!
