REBELS 4 PATS 3 (SO)

RED DEER, Alta. (CP) – It took until the ninth round of the shootout before Adam Musil scored the winner as the Red Deer Rebels edged the Regina Pats 4-3 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Musil added a goal in regulation for Red Deer (26-14-6), which has won six of seven, while Colton Bobyk and Presten Kopeck also found the back of the net.

Taylor Cooper scored twice for the Pats (26-15-4) with Adam Brooks adding the other.

Taz Burman stopped 26 shots for the win, while Daniel Wapple made 32 saves for Regina.

The Rebels were scoreless on 10 power-play chances while the Pats went 0 for 3.

The Pats are now 1-1-1 on their four game road trip which concludes Sunday in Calgary at 5:00 on 620 CKRM (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 4:35 pm).

Unbelievable 10 power plays to 3 for the Rebels. Sutter intimidating the refs once again. He's been doing it for years. Good for the Pats for killing them all off.
