REBELS EDGE PATS 3-2, WIN STREAK ENDS

Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats fell 3-2 to the Red Deer Rebels on Wednesday night before a season-high crowd of 5,694 fans at the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are now 6-8-0 on the season, while the Rebels improve to 11-6-1 and hold onto first place in the Central Division.

The Regiment got goals from Tanner Howe and Stanislav Svozil — his first in the WHL — but they weren’t able to generate as many high-danger chances than in their previous outings. Connor Bedard was held pointless.

Red Deer got goals from Kai Uchacz, Kalen Lind and a game-winner from Talon Brigley while shorthanded, which was his first WHL goal.

The Pats host the Edmonton Oil Kings next on the schedule on Friday night on AccessNow TV.

Rod, what’s the deal with Connor Bedard? He doesn’t look like the same player as last season. Is he playing hurt maybe?
