RECOVERY PODCAST: VOICE OF THE PATS PHIL ANDREWS
Phil Andrews and I have a lot in common.
We both have called games for the world’s oldest junior hockey team, the Regina Pats.
Phil is in his 8th season in the broadcast booth while I was lucky enough to spent 15 wonderful seasons as Voice of the Pats on CKRM Radio.
And, we’re both in long-term Recovery from Addiction.
In the latest Pedersen Recovery Rodcast for Fine Foods, Milk2Go Sport and CJ Evans Home Designs, Phil Andrews sits down with me in the bleachers of the Brandt Centre to discuss being a daily drinker and drug user as a teenager in Saskatoon, homeless after high school, and in a rehab facility by the age of 18.
11 years later, he’s living his best life as a hockey broadcaster and married father of 3.
Phil’s story is a jaw-dropper.
