RED SOX 10 BEAVERS 1

The Regina Red Sox continued their winning ways on Sunday afternoon as they handed Weyburn a 10-1 defeat at Currie Field.

Regina starter Allan Sanchez pitched eight brilliant innings allowing just one run while scattering seven hits.  The win was the second of the year for Sanchez.

Jake Howard slammed his seventh home run to put the Red Sox ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the first. The team did not look back as the offensive lit up Weyburn pitching.  Aden Campbell continued to swing a hot bat for the Red Sox as he finished the day with three hits while raising his season batting average to .378
Ryan Johnson took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.

The Red Sox and Beavers will do it again tomorrow night in Weyburn at Tom Laing Park. On Tuesday, Regina is home to the Yorkton Cardinals. Game time is set for 7:05 pm.
