RED SOX 3 MILLER EXPRESS 1

The Regina Red Sox got a masterful pitching performance from starter Ben Schweinfurth in their 3-1 win over Moose Jaw Friday night at Ross Wells Park.

Schweinfurth pitched 8 plus innings and allowed just one run on four hits and a walk. He also struck out four Miller Express hitters. Sam Brunner came on to pitch the final out and record his league record 13th save.
 
Offensively Red Sox first baseman Aden Campbell provided a spark with a pair of singles and a walk. He also scored a run. Gabriel Montero added two hits and a stolen base, his 11th of the year.

Tanner Spencer took the loss for Moose Jaw.

The win ended Regina’s three game losing streak and improved their overall record to 23-17.

Regina returns to Currie Field on Sunday afternoon to battle the Weyburn Beavers. Game time is set for 2:05 pm.
