RED SOX ADVANCE TO EAST FINAL

The Regina Red Sox scored five runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Moose Jaw Miller Express 6-3, taking the series 2-1 and will now play the Swift Current 57’s in the East Division Finals.

Grant Dowty was dominant on the mound for the Red Sox as he tossed the first 6 2/3 innings of the ballgame, striking out four and allowing only two earned runs. Heibert Romero came in relief of Dowty in the seventh, tossing 2/3 of an inning, before handing things off to Jackson Cofer to close things out.

Red Sox infielder, Adam De La Cruz had a terrific day at the plate, going 3-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

The Regina Red Sox will take on the Swift Current 57’s in the East Division Finals, with game one starting Sunday, August 11th in Regina at 7:05PM.
